20%, or 15% on a longer term
We keep 20% of the publishing income we actually receive for your songs. Commit to a three-year minimum and we keep 15%.
It is the only fee or expense we deduct. No admin charges, no overhead, no recouped costs.
Your writer's share is untouched
When your society pays your writer's share of performance royalties straight to you, we do not collect it and take no fee from it.
That money already reaches you. We work on the income that would otherwise go uncollected.
You own everything
You keep 100% ownership of your copyrights. We are your administrator, not your owner.
Registering us as your administrator is for collection during the term. It transfers nothing.
Monthly payments*
YouTube income is paid every month. Society income is paid twice a year, after June 30 and December 31.
YouTube pays us monthly, so we pay you monthly. Societies pay on slow, uneven schedules, so that income is gathered into two full statements a year.
$50 payout minimum
We pay once your balance reaches US $50. Smaller balances carry forward to the next period.
Sending money costs money. The minimum keeps transfer fees from eating small balances.
Cancel anytime
At 20% there is no lock-in. Either side can end the agreement on 30 days written notice. The 15% rate is for a three-year minimum term that renews automatically.
If we are not earning your business, you should be free to leave. We will help move your registrations to your next administrator.
Sync stays with you
Individually negotiated sync licenses for film, TV, ads and games are reserved to you. We do not pitch or approve them.
We are an administration service. Creative deals remain yours to make.
You can audit us
Once a year you may have an independent accountant inspect the books behind your statements.
If you cannot check the numbers, the numbers mean little.
You pick the territories
Worldwide by default. Carve out any country or region you want to keep, and we leave it alone.
Many writers already have a society or sub-publisher deal somewhere. You should not have to give that up to work with us.
We can't control societies
Societies and YouTube set their own timelines and rules. We submit promptly and follow up.
We cannot make a society process faster, and we will not pretend otherwise.

What does MusicPub do?
MusicPub is the client side of CHOIS MUSIC, INC., a music publishing administrator. We register your songs with performing rights and mechanical rights societies worldwide, claim them on YouTube, collect the publishing income, and pay you. The portal is where you see your statements and reports.
What does it cost?
20% of the publishing income we collect for you, with the freedom to cancel anytime. If you commit to a three-year minimum term, which renews automatically, the fee is 15%. Either way there is no sign-up fee, no monthly fee, and nothing else is deducted.
Do I keep ownership of my songs?
Yes. You keep 100% of your copyrights. We administer your catalog on your behalf and never take ownership.
How do I become a client?
Write to us. We take on clients personally, so there is no public sign-up. If we are a fit, you sign one agreement and send us your catalog.

Can I keep some territories out?
Yes. We cover the world by default, but you can carve out any country or region, for example one where you already have a sub-publisher. We register and collect everywhere else.
How do you use AI?
Behind the scenes. We built our own tools to check registrations against each society's rules, catch errors before they cost you money, and flag income that has not been claimed. It lets us do more for less. A person makes every decision and answers every message.
Do you pitch songs or place sync?
No. We are an administration service. Sync licensing stays with you, and we do not run song camps or pitch catalogs. When you license a song yourself, tell us which YouTube videos it is in and we will allowlist them so they are not claimed.
Can I leave if I want to?
Yes. At the 20% rate there is no lock-in: either side can end the agreement on 30 days written notice. The 15% rate comes with a three-year minimum term that renews automatically. When you leave, we help move your registrations to your next administrator.
